It guesses what you mean.
You know the course, the assignment and what you are stuck on. The model only knows what you typed. MiAI gives you ways to get that context out before it starts answering.
MiAI
AI FOR HIGHER EDUCATION
MiAI is a collection of free skills, prompts and guides for university students. We show you how to use AI to work through difficult material, question your reasoning and study more effectively.
Finish with a better
understanding than you started with.
A polished answer is not much use if it answers the wrong question, agrees with a weak argument or invents a source. MiAI focuses on those problems.
You know the course, the assignment and what you are stuck on. The model only knows what you typed. MiAI gives you ways to get that context out before it starts answering.
A lot of output sounds complete while saying very little. MiAI helps you ask for the structure, detail and format you actually need.
If your thesis or method is weak, praise does not help. MiAI includes prompts that ask the model to test the idea and explain where it fails.
That matters when you are working with papers, quotations and evidence. MiAI shows you how to restrict the source material and ask the model to be clear when it does not know.
The example below is simple, but the difference matters. One prompt asks the model to replace the student. The other gives the student something useful to do.
“Write me an essay on renewable energy.”
You may get a generic essay. You also have to check every source, rebuild the argument and work out what the model invented.
“Here is my thesis on geothermal storage. Find the weakest assumption, give me three counter-arguments, then quiz me on the thermodynamic constraints.”
You keep the argument. The prompt asks the model for something specific to check, improve and understand.
The first version of MiAI will have four parts. Each one is being made for university work rather than general AI advice.
Step-by-step methods for revision, reading papers, debugging code and working through formulas. The aim is to give you a process you can use again.
Explore skillsStarting points for reading papers, comparing sources, checking reasoning and practising a concept. Adapt them to your subject in ChatGPT or Claude.
Explore promptsPractical walkthroughs for research, writing, revision and technical work. These will show the whole workflow rather than a single trick.
See what’s comingA grade calculator, assignment planner and evidence map you can use right here. Use your own inputs, then take the result into ChatGPT or Claude for help working through it.
Use the toolsOur first three skills are ready to download and use in ChatGPT. Each one helps you work through a different part of your own assignment.
Work out what the brief requires, how the parts fit together and what to do first.
Work through the concept or step that is confusing, then check you can explain and apply it yourself.
Get specific feedback on your draft, calculation or code, then work through the most important fix.
We want it to be useful to students who are trying to learn properly and still want the practical benefit of AI. That is the standard we are working towards.
